Patrick Martin is a Professor of the School of Computing at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

He is the leader of the Database Systems Laboratory . His research interests are in the areas of web services, data management for pervasive computing, autonomic computing and database management systems.

He is also a member of the executive committee for IEEE Computer Society Data Engineering Workgroup on Self-Managing Database Systems.
