Domain-specific services

Domain-specific services is rarely taken into account as middleware. Unlike the first three middleware layers, it targets a specific market, and tries to increase the system's quality and decrease the development cycle-time in a particular field. We have not found any wildly accepted case to study in detail. Couple of examples are given in [9]. It is still an on-going middleware layer so far.
