Queen's University's Medical Computing Lab (MCL) is an interdisplinary research group within the School of Computing. We work with the Department of Surgery, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering to develop techniques in Computer-Assisted Surgery.
Purang Abolmaesumi, Randy Ellis, and James Stewart were awarded a 5 year CIHR New Emerging Team Grant for their proposal entitled "Optimizing Fracture Management with Information Technology: Planning, Treatment and Assessment of Outcomes".
Randy Ellis will be chairing CAOS 2006.

June 10, 2004. Surgeon John Rudan accompanied by Randy Ellis, performed the world's first hip resurfacing at the Kingston General Hospital using our computer-assisted surgery system.
