Software Tech Laptop/Projector
Authorized Users
The following professors and their students are authorized to reserve
the laptop and/or the projector:
- Jim Cordy
- Juergen Dingel
- Tom Dean
Rules
The following 'rules' apply to this reservation system:
- Only authorized users may request to reserve the laptop and/or projector.
- Although reservations will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis,
there is an ad-hoc priority system in place. For example, the use of
equipment for an official school seminar has a higher priority than
a practice seminar. Also, professors requests will normally have higher
priority than those of students. That said, we do not foresee much conflict
in terms of scheduling. Every effort will be made to satisfy all requests.
- Reservations can only be made via email to Michelle. She will acknowledge
the reservation and update the schedule as soon as possible. Keep in mind
that this is a secondary duty.
- Reservations should be made as early as possible, especially since coordination
is required to guarantee access to the equipment. Michelle will process the reservations
and she, Dean and Jeremy have keys to the equipment.
- Equipment must be returned within a timely fashion, and in good condition.

She will check the availability of the equipment and respond as soon as
possible. She will also coordinate the tranfer of the equipment.
About This System
The calendar used in this system has been modified
from a Querious Designs calendar with the following functionality:
- script creates a month view calendar that dynamically highlights the date,
- alerts any current reminders,
- has the ability to store personal reminders (via cookies) for any day,
- show global & annual reminders (via external file) for any day,
- show monthly reports of saved reminders.
The scripts have been modified to eliminate all but the global reminders,
which are used to show when the equipment has been reserved. If you are interested
in this type of calendar for your own personal reminders, go to
Querious Designs.
